It seems that most of the transformations of rooms that I get to take a very long time. I am about to finish a project that has been six years in the making. Well, fortunately, not all projects take that amount of time.

I really love working on summer houses.

A lot of times the rooms that we are challenged to design are not always ideal. Sometimes their greatest feature is the one that is hardest to work with. Take this living room that I designed in Southern California, for example.

This room is probably one of my favorite rooms I have ever done. Even though I designed it for a showcase house back in 2000, I think that the design holds up pretty well.

There’s an infinite list of possibilities when it comes to floors, whether you use something natural like stone or wood, or manufactured like carpet or linoleum.

Today, I wanted to share a living room that we did in a beach community in Southern California.

Last week I talked about how to make a new kitchen look like it was original to the house. This week I am still on the same theme, but this time I will focus on bathrooms.

This week I thought I would write about something that I really love–kitchens!
