Dark versus light, raw versus refined — these contrasting elements drive Tori Golub as she designs a dreamlike bedroom for a “crowd” of personalities that live within one person, Tara.

One day she’s a wife and mom of two teens, the next day Tara’s an aggressive male biker or hot-to-trot teenager. The soon-to-be-launched United States of Tara brings disassociative identity disorder into the spotlight in a respectful, yet comedic, way under the direction of Steven Spielberg and writer Diablo Cody (Juno).

Touching on aspects of Tara’s multiple personalities, Golub dreams up a stylishly surreal bedroom suite in which any, and all, of this modern-day Sybil’s personalities can find rest.

A former fashion stylist in London and Paris, New York-based Golub has been focused on interior design for over two decades, where she’s known for her carefully edited and modern, yet inviting, aesthetic.
