From New York's spring tabletop market, here are the six hottest trends to watch for this fall.

1. Leaves
From single buds to lush meadows, greenery was second nature at the show.

2. Modern Craft
We noticed an up-to-date reverence for age-old techniques, traditional narratives, and tried-and-true imagery.

3. Matte Black
Oozing with drama and designed to absorb rather than deflect light, matte black crystal took a star turn in the toniest showrooms.

4. Textured White
White tableware is a mainstay of every period but these days, textured white feels particularly modern.

5. Far East
Be it a new take on chopsticks or a burgeoning bamboo motif, references to traditional Chinese and Japanese tableware, both implied and direct, surfaced throughout the show.

6. Black and White
A perennial player in the fashion world—think pin stripes and tuxedos—black and white found its way onto the table in a majority of showrooms.
