NATHAN: Create comfort

“This space was more communal and conversational, so I did something that wasn’t over-the-top and distracting. (Let’s just pretend the “sarcophagus” isn’t there.) I left it as something more relaxed, comfortable and subtle, but it still didn’t feel stiff. And I saved space for guests by choosing a coffee table that was actually a bench. It’s slender and long and suited to that space.”
