Body Art for the Wall
A wall dedicated to Dexter’s sense of disorderly order is anchored by the Aranda/Lasch Quasi lacquered cabinet; it adds textural interest via a random non-repeating relief pattern based on quasicrystal geometry. On top of it sits a square resin art sculpture by Dustin Yellin that transforms the human skull into a sculpture destined to make Dexter smile. Crawling up the wall, Jane D’Arensbourg’s Veins glass sculpture was created with a torch flame that stretches, bends and fuses glass in a freeform way. It was inspired by imagery of cross-sections of the brain as well as organic vein patterns.
