Self-proclaimed exterior designer Tory Polone designed the dramatic front doors using metal-framed ipe, a sustainable Brazilian hardwood; their handles, of hand-hammered steel, were fabricated by Berbere Imports. Polone left the handles uncoated, she says, so they would soon have a weathered patina.
