"The dining room connects the two sides of the house, and serves almost as a hall," says designer Heather Tom. "Our challenge was to find a dining table that would make a statement because that’s really all that would be in here." They found this beautifully carved, turn-of-the-century English stretcher table. Slipper chairs slipcovered in burnt orange silk weave the living room’s palette into this room; an Oscar de la Renta rug adds a modern splash.
