The Tsui House (Berkley, California)

We had never heard of a Tardigrade, but supposedly it’s one of the most resilient microscopic swamp-dwelling invertebrates and the inspiration for this private residence. Said to be one of the safest houses in the world; fire, flood, termite resistant, and aesthetically repellant—the spiny roof and bug-eyed windows are sure to keep burglars out!
