To help the bathroom feel as open and spacious as possible, the glass-doored shower’s quartz floor begins level with that of the surrounding surface, then slants toward the drain. Three different types of sprays combine for a spa-style experience: a rain head above, four wall-mounted body jets that can be aimed for therapeutic effect, and a handheld sprayer that not only facilitates washing but is also useful for cleaning the area afterward. Olson utilized the existing framing of an old window to build in a mosaic-tiled niche that not only adds visual interest but also provides a convenient ledge for soaps, shampoos, and accessories.
