Povero bought the Calder print above his revamped fireplace at a charity auction; the fire screen, which repeats the print’s circle motif, was made by a friend, fashion designer John Bartlett. The wall is paneled in the same black walnut that Povero used in the small kitchen (next slide), where he opted for SubZero refrigerator drawers—installed below Carrara Bianco marble countertops—instead of a full-height unit.
