In the 1800s teachers would paint book plates for their students when they had excelled in a subject. Since Jeffers tends to antique with his children in mind, he couldn't resist starting a collection of them. On the wall is an antique valentine, cut like a paper snowflake, that Jeffers’ gave to his wife, Amelia. Below it is a carved yellow footstool from 1790.
