Trunk Show - To celebrate Charles Eames’s 100th birthday (June 17), Vitra is producing a limited-edition series of the plywood elephant designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945, which was never manufactured. (Two prototypes are at MoMA in NYC.) The company is making only 1,000 pieces in red (shown) and 1,000 in natural maple (161⁄2''h x 161⁄2''w x 303⁄4''d, $1,900; Vitra.com).
