In the front hallway, family pooch Harriet Dixie takes in the sunshine. The family rescued her at Long Island's North Shore Animal League while on a trip to New York. The table—on display as is, water spots and all—holds part of Marie's collection of shell vases and boxes, many of which store tiny items. The door knocker is a replica of a Nantucket basket.
