The original double parlor of Julia and Malcolm Butler’s antebellum townhouse was expanded into one airy living room, with additional storage and modernized HVAC systems. The original heart-pine floorboards were removed to install a new subfloor; after being stained ebony, they were replaced inside a frame of honed Absolute Black granite. The room’s twin Opium sofas, ottoman and side tables are from Ligne Roset. The mixed-media artwork is by Savannah resident Julio Garcia.
