By approaching restoration with a relaxed touch, a thirty-something couple did right by their 1892 Queen Anne home while making it more suitable for how they live. Raised Arts & Crafts door fronts and classic wainscoting lend visual texture and mimic the lines of cross beams overhead. Embellished detailing makes the bar peninsula appear to be an original part of the room although it’s a new informal seating area also designed to block kitchen activities from view in rooms beyond.
