What We'd Do: Hallway
When a reader asked us how she could use her long, empty passageway, we reinvented it as a picture gallery. -The Editors
- BOLD COLORS, such as the vivid shade of tangerine we selected for one wall, can enliven a small space.
- FRAMES AND MATS in a single style and color unify the display, even when the artwork is varied.
- MODERN SPOTLIGHTS, which can be aimed to illuminate the art or brighten the floor, replaced a dated pendant light.
- A MOBILE, reflected in the mirror above the closet, adds movement to the area.
- FAUX MOLDING and a pair of orange resin handles make the closet door look more finished.
