Remade for Entertaining

A screen porch becomes an inviting spot for casual gatherings

Screen Porch - After

The Home Team The Home Team has done it again, transforming an underutilized and inhospitable screen porch into an attractive arena for social gatherings. With a tiny café table and just a few potted plants, the 10-by-30-foot space was strictly no frills. Over the course of several days, editor-in-chief Donna Sapolin (center), flanked by stylist Stephen Antonson (left), and deputy articles editor Nicole Sforza, brought the space to life. The trio built a roomy, picnic-style table and matching benches; added a serving console and extra seating; and covered the windows looking into the interior rooms with simple drapery panels. Now, this outdoor oasis is a delightful destination. Click here to view the slideshow.
