Step Inside
My friends Lisa and Pui tore down the walls and let in the light to remake a 1950s Atlanta ranch house
Lisa and Pui Panich are friends in Atlanta I’ve known for more than a dozen years. Whether we’ve hung out at their downtown loft, 1920s bungalow or at their current 1956 ranch, Pui’s savvy eye and appreciation for contemporary furniture has always been on view. The Josef Hoffmann sofas, duplicates of 1910 originals, have worked in every one of his and Lisa’s places, because, as Pui says, true modern classics can work with pieces from different eras.
Spoken like the true pro Pui is! Ever since the furniture guru moved here from Thailand in 1988, he’s been displaying his passion for modern pieces, most recently at his nearly two-year-old Atlanta furniture store and gallery, Context.
