Given that Dallas is a city known for tearing down aging houses and rebuilding as big as lots will allow, discovering a midcentury home there in original condition with an acre of land and a for sale sign in the yard is a rare event. So surprised were a pair of prospective home buyers -- a Dallas couple with three children -- that they abandoned their search for a more traditional house and began thinking about rehabbing this modern rarity.
