This incredibly inventive structure by architects 2012 Architechten has a façade made entirely of reclaimed kitchen sinks. Held together with scaffolding, wire, and waterproof multiplex boards, it turns what was once junk into a chic and futuristic monument to the washbasin.
With one open side and no roof, the “Sustainable Sky Box” pavilion acts more like a gathering place for Amsterdam residents rather than a true venue—still, it’s a shining symbol of just how stunning re-use can be with a little ingenuity. —Leah Konen
