MARK CUTLER STYLE GUIDE: Online Gifting
In Category: Wall Decor

So that now that I have my Halloween Decorations under control, I have started giving thought to my Christmas list. Now for me, this is a multi-step process, I am still in the first step. That consists of drawing up my list of gift recipients, then also drawing up a list of my favorite sites from which to choose. I am not a big fan of shopping in brick and mortar stores for most of my list, I prefer the peace and quiet of my own home, rather than traffic and crowds.
Anyway, this year I think I will be getting a lot of stuff from Etsy.com. It seems that in times of uncertainty like this, handmade items make great gifts. So here are some of my favorite sellers on the site, I hope that you find something inspirational.
I really like the work of John Clark (above), his prints that are done on the pages of old books I think are very interesting. They are also unique, so for around $10.00 its a piece of art for a friend that won't be seen anywhere else.

Jewelry is always a tough thing to buy, but the pieces at Tilia are very cool. Handmade, but with a very sophisticated flair. They would be great for a bohemian or socialite friend. It all depends on the accessories :)

The Runnybunny is a bit of a difficult one to categorize. Their ceramic work appears innocent enough at first glance, but upon closer inspection is a little disturbing with bunny heads on people, owl heads on rabbits etc. etc. I am drawn to the subversive quality of it. It's admittedly not for everyone, but perfect for the few.
I have always been a fan of wall stickers, so I was especially happy to find Dali Decals. With all sorts of cool options ranging from organic to very decorative flourishes, there is bound to be something here for every one, so if there is someone one your list, whose nest needs a little love, this may be the perfect thing for you.
