K&B 360: How Many Btus is That?

In Category: Remodeling

In the last part of the 19th century, Detroit was the hub of the American cookstove business. This industrial achievement was documented at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition, where a Garland range made of oak loomed large. Measuring 25 feet high, 30 feet long and 25 feet wide, the colossal cooker was sponsored by the Michigan Stove Company. After the fair, the stove served as a landmark in Detroit until it was dismantled in 1974.
