K&B 360:Diary of a Kitchen Remodel, continued

In Category: Remodeling

We are fortunate to have expertise on our side: my husband, John, is an architect, and I'm pretty familiar with the array of products that go into redoing a kitchen. Like most people, the sky is not the limit when it comes to financing, so it was pretty much by default that we decided to make the classic time-for-money tradeoff: To afford what we wanted to do with the room, we adopted—perhaps at times with reluctance—a laissez-faire attitude toward the timetable for the job. In addition, we would be taking a more intensive hands-on approach to the project than most homeowners.
