K&B360: Kitchen and Bath Awards' Hot Sheet

Each year we compile the latest and greatest products for the kitchen and bath—logically enough, this recognition is called the KB Awards. Along with co-judges Gale Steves and Bill Partsch, I was sequestered in a windowless conference room and, over so-so Thai takeout, determined the short list of gotta-have-it items, ranging from bathtubs to outdoor appliances to cabinet designs. The hundreds of submissions we sifted through confirmed some nascent trends:  Neutral and earth-tones have largely replaced bright colors, showers are duking it out with tubs, modern style has merged with natural materials. And there’s definitely more than one way to cook a turkey. Look for the winners in future KB360 posts, as well as Kitchens & Baths magazine.
