DESIGN DAILY: Fireplace Lighter

I think the fireplace lighter is a great invention. As a substitute for the traditional match, the long-handled and button-controlled flame thrower has probably saved many an eyebrow and tree since its inception. Though brilliant in use, it usually suffers in looks—that means cheap hunky plastic. But not the Oxford lighter, with its stitched faux leather and antique silver or bronze finial. It's what every handsome hearth needs.
