DESIGN DAILY: Decadent Bedding

In Category: Bedding

I try to spend in proportion to a thing's use. Maybe I don’t wear my fuchsia snakeskin shoes as often as I promised myself (to justify the $300 I spent), but I try to follow this spending rule when I can. Like with bedding, daily use totally justifies extravagence. Kearsley bedding, pricey as it may be, is worth it. Founder and designer Heather Wolf has literally been around the world selecting the finest cashmere, down, and cotton to have them made in Italy and hand-embroidered with impeccable detail. This was the kind of stuff you’d only find in boutiques in the Hamptons and Malibu, but as of recently, many items are available online.

I like your comment on spending money on things you use the most. I have a friend who bought luxury linens. I had never considered buying nice linens before I saw hers. They were so beautiful and luxurious. Why shouldn’t we put some emphasis on sheets and good bedding? We spend a lot of our time in our beds trying to get refreshed to face another day. Why not feel pampered by sleeping on pure softness? The sheets you highlighted are beautiful. I found mine on line at a different store elegantlinenspc. They have a large selection too! I am so happy I splurged on my sheets and bedding. Sleep is so much sweeter!

beautiful!

I agree! Like a pair of great jeans that you wear as a uniform, bedding is one of those luxuries that is absolutely justifiable. Who wants to snuggle up in sub-par sheets? Beautiful -thanks for introducing your readers to Kearsley Couture.
